My Favorite Meal

My favorite meal I ever had was filled with a flavor bash. It was actually a really good meal with how my maid mother cooked it. The best portion was cooked down to a very crisp and tender way where you could also taste all the extra flavors she added. There was also a side that is pretty dirty, which added a lot of needed flavor. When I tasted the second side they tasted very nice and comfortable like they should. The smell of the meal was just full of different amazing smells; you could smell the tenderness of the main course, the sweetness in the second, and the great taste of the third. I honestly don’t have a particular drink for this meal, so it’s to each their own. Nonetheless, this meal has always put me in a good mood. It has always tasted so good no matter what, and I will probably always love it.

3 Wishes

If I could have three wishes, they would be to be successful, live a healthy life, and last but not least have a lifetime supply of strawberry shortcakes.
It’s pretty obvious my wish that would be placed third would be the endless supply of shortcakes. I mean you can only wish to be able to eat at least one strawberry shortcake a day. They’re just so delicious, from the cream and strawberry in the middle to the little swirl. God bless the remarkable human being who invented it. Now that I’m done being an obsessed fan over strawberry shortcakes we shall move on.
Second place would respectfully go to being successful. This one doesn’t bother me the slightest, no matter what career path I drive past, I will always succeed. But we can always wish, right?
This leads me to my numerous Uno biggest wish, a healthy life. This one should arguably be on just about everyone’s list. If you don’t want to have a healthy life then something is partially wrong with you. Who doesn’t want to have a long healthy life like oh, I don’t know…… Betty White? Nonetheless being in great health is the most important wish I could possibly make because I love life and expect to see a lot of it.
Now that you all know what my three wishes would be if I rubbed a genie lamp, tell me what your three wishes would be in the comments.

Two Cents

Every week I want to let readers put their two cents on stories, remedies, or anything out of the ordinary. So I can see what you feel about certain situations and how you handle them.

This week I decided to bring up what else other than myths. This past week I saw something online that talked about the infamous ‘’3 days of darkness’’. There is the read below describing the entire situation. After reading the picture below I want to know how you all feel. Do you think it’s real or just some more fabrication some crazy person keeps trying to put in our heads? Sound off in the comments.

Holiday Seasons

The Holidays has always been a time of the year that makes me happy and filled with joy. The Holiday season has always been my favorite time of the year. It’s the decorations and just how happy everyone is at the time of the year. Not having to go to school is the biggest plus to the winter school break. Most people can see their family year round so I’m sure it wouldn’t hurt them. The thing that gets me the most into the moment is definitely the music and decorations. Everything just feels so animated and magical, which is amazing in my eyes. I’ve always loved looking at people’s decorations and seeing how unique some people are with it. Some of my favorite decorations to see were always the really bright flashy lights. I have a strange obsession with lights, so I was always fascinated with the green, red, or any other colored lights. Christmas is obviously one of my favorite Holidays. I want you all to sound off what you love about Christmas and how you like to spend it!

2013 Grammy Nominations

Last night marked the nomination special for the 55th Annual Grammy Awards. Exciting, right? Just keep reading and find out. I strictly want to talk about the nominations since the performances had thrown me off, from when the show opened with Taylor Swift beat boxing. Any who, speaking of Taylor she co-hosted the festival alongside LL Cool J in her hometown of Nashville, TN.
The first nominations of the night were ''Best Pop Vocals''. The nominees were:  Kelly Clarkson’s Stronger, Florence + the Machine Ceremonials, Fun. Some Nights, Maroon 5 Overexposed and Pink The Truth About Love. I don't keep up too much with pop music. But Pink is always a fine singer so that's a plus.

Sheryl Crow and Chris Young announced the ''Record of The Year'' nominees which were:  “Lonely Boy” by Black Keys, “Stronger” by Kelly Clarkson, “We Are Young” by fun. Featuring Janelle Monae, “Somebody I Used To Know” by Gotye, Frank Ocean’s “Thinkin Bout You” and, of course, Taylor Swift for “We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together.” Of course the camera shoots to Taylor to see her reaction. And, of course she has her general ''shocking'' expression as if she just won the lottery. Nonetheless, she shouldn't expect to win as her nominated song is not even Grammy worthy. On the bright side it's nice to see Frank Ocean and Kelly Clarkson nominated.

''Best New Artist'' was next on the agenda and the nominees were the following: Alabama Shakes, fun, Hunter Hayes, the Lumineers and Frank Ocean. I literally only knew two out the five that were nominated. Of course the Grammys are a lot more critical when it comes to actual ''talent''. But nominating artist that the viewers actually know wouldn't hurt.

''Song of The Year'' followed as the nominees: ''Call Me Maybe'' by Carly Rae Jepsen, ''Adorn'' by Miguel, ''We are Young'' by fun, ''Stronger'' by Kelly Clarkson, and ''The A Team'' by Ed Shearan. Not a bad category as I can agree with who were nominated.

The biggest award of the night ''Album of The Year'' consisted of the following nominees: The Black Keys ‘’El Camino’’, fun ‘’Some Nights’’, Mumford and Sons ‘’Babel’’, Frank Ocean ‘’Channel Orange’’ and Jack White ‘’Blunderbuss’’. Yeah, the names alone could put me to sleep. Can' say I agree or disagree with this one as I have not heard none these albums.

Of course we can't talk about nominations without mentioning the snubs. I honestly cackled when Justin Bieber and Nicki Minaj fans raided the internet over their favorites not being nominated. Something people will have to understand is, the Grammys nominate off of talent. Being popular and putting out mediocre music is not worthy.

At the end of the night there was a six way tie for the top number of nominations: fun, Jay-Z, Dan Auer Bach of The Black Keys, Mumford & Sons, Frank Ocean and Kanye West lead the nominations with six apiece.

Head over to the Grammys official website for the complete list of nominations. The 55th Annual Grammy Awards air Sunday, Feb. 10th.

Grace of Social Media

Social media has been the main effect of many celebrities one of the main starlets I can think of is Lindsay Lohan. Lindsay has been the epitome of how being caught in a club doing something scandalous can play a major role in your life. After being caught on camera and photos being drunk and probably high on some substances, Lindsay was being displayed in every part of social media. From websites constantly showing her every step, and the way she would practically set herself up. Lindsay was pretty much doomed with the social media thing from day one.

Another star who’s suffered from social media is Britney Spears. Miss Spears was not always in the news for bad things. She became famous as a teen star, fast forward years and years later. She is a mother of two and was going through a pretty crazy divorce from then husband Kevin Federline.  To say Britney went crazy after that is an understatement. The social media would catch Britney hanging out with the likes of Paris Hilton and Lindsay Lohan while going out partying and being caught without underwear on. Yikes. Tmz would pretty much stalk Britney’s entire life, following her every move. Thankfully, a stint in rehab would reshape Brit’s life together since as of now she’s as healthy and normal as ever.

The next star on my list would have to be Chris Brown. To say social media has been an influence in his life would pretty much define him. As we all know the infamous incident between Then (or I guess you can even say now) girlfriend Rihanna. I’m pretty sure I don’t have to go into detail what happened. So, yeah social media places from Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, etc. People would express how much they truly dislike Brown. Anything from hate messages to death threats (bit much). Although I can’t say he didn’t bring attention to himself like when he busted out a window after an interview on ‘’Good morning America’’. Either way social media has definitely been a great part of his life.

You can’t really have a scandalous list without Lady Gaga. Now, even though I don’t really think Gaga has done anything too scandalous (at least not yet). Gaga has definitely brought tons of social media attention to herself. The woman has made being and acting weird some type of trend. Let’s face it; many celebs more than likely based their new found weird dressing style off of Gaga. Not to mention how much she has inspired so many of her fans through Twitter and Facebook. She has definitely saved many lives with her inspirational style.

My last celeb I am exposing will be the infamous Kardashians family. Normally when a not so famous celeb puts out a sex tape it gets talked about for about a month or two, defining the whole fifteen minutes of fame quote. But to say this family has token fifteen minutes to a whole two hours would be an understatement. These people are arguably the most talked about family in the world. This is pretty sad to admit, I don’t condone sex tapes. But if it gets you this famous then I say take it and shoot to the stars like the Kardashians have done.
