Amanda Bynes Calls Out Model

The actress, who has called out a number of celebs on the social media site recently, slammed model Chrissy Teigen after she wrote, "The fact that Amanda Bynes has any 'support' to retweet is really unsettling...Support people with mental illness, yes. But don't condone/enable scary and poor behavior."
Bynes tweeted, "Ur not a pretty model compared to me. I signed to Ford models @ age 13. I don't look up to u beauty wise. I'm far prettier than u! I'm offended that you're saying I have a mental illness when I show no sign of it, but thankfully not one man that wants me wants you and you are an old ugly model compared to me!"

It sadly looks like Amanda's downward spiral is getting lower everyday.

Mothers Day Shooting

Recently there was a Mothers Day shooting in New Orleans. The shooting injured about 19 and traumatized many others I'm sure. It's pretty sad someone would want to turn a day that is supposed to be filled with joy and happiness and make it into a nightmare. I can only hope they catch whoever did this so justice can be served.

Rainy Days

Rainy days for some people can be the best days to just relax. I for one agree, rainy days can be relaxing and makes you just want to sleep. What I'm asking is what your favorite day is? What type of weather gets you in the best of mood?

Rock Climbers Caught in Volcanic Eruption

In the Philippines five mountain climbers were killed and eight were injured when a sudden volcanic eruption sent down rocks that were described as ''big as cars''.
“I heard a sound similar to a sudden drop of coconuts. Then I heard noise of cascading rocks. But the thick fog clouding us that time blinded us from seeing the falling debris,” 21-year-old tour guide and mountaineer Kenneth Jesalva told the Philippine Star in a hospital bed interview.
Nearly 30 climbers were taking part in a trek to the basin of the Mayon volcano, which lies on the Philippine island of Luzon. Despite its tragic outcome, Tuesday’s eruption was not considered out of the ordinary, having erupted an estimated 48 times over the past 400 years, according to Renato Solidum, head of the Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology.
Several climbers who were not injured in the blast remained stranded atop the 8,070 foot tall mountain and were awaiting rescue by helicopter and rope.
"The injured are all foreigners ... they cannot walk,” Albay provincial Gov. Joey Salceda said. “If you can imagine, the boulders there are as big as cars. Some of them slid and rolled down. We will rappel the rescue team, and we will rappel them up again."

The UN’s Deadliest Month since 2008

The United Nations mission to Iraq says more people were killed in violent attacks across the country in April than in any other month since June 2008.The U.N. figures released on Thursday underscore concerns that security is quickly decreasing in Iraq, where violence spiked in the last part of April. The UN says it noted 712 people killed last month, which included 117 members of the Iraqi security forces. The capital district of Baghdad was affected the worst. Casualty tolls in Iraq can vary, with official reports at times differing from accounts from local police and hospital officials. Newspapers that I have seen online have all recorded more than 400 killed last month. Iraq witnessed its deadliest bout of violence between 2006 and 2007, when the country was on the brink of civil war.

E! Network lines up Tons of New Shows

E! Network who has been known to be the platform for many no name people including the Kardashians is about to freshen up their line up. The mega network is soon to acquire a bucket load of brand new shows including reality shows based on a country singer, boy band, and even to WWE Divas. E! had it's official reveal party this past Monday night and all the future stars of E! were out celebrate. One show that seemed interesting to me is a documentary entitled ''Inner Circle'' that will be based on celebrities looking back into their family tree finding out long lost family secrets. Other than that I'm not that into reality shows and the E! network in general. Although I'm sure many people who are fans will find this amusing at the most.

Scary Movie V Bombs

Scary Movie 5 proved itself to be a franchise that probably wasn’t worth reviving. Funny; A Haunted House was a modest hit and Scary Movie 5 bombs. Seems the Wayans Bros. finally got their revenge against Dimension. Back in 2006, Scary Movie 4 opened to over $40 million. Seven years later, Scary Movie 5 could only lure in $15 million. So why exactly did the film do so bad? Was it the lack of franchise star Anna Faris? Did audiences already get their fill of horror movie spoofing with A Haunted House? Were viewers put off by a marketing campaign built around Charlie Sheen and Lindsay Lohan? Whatever the reason may be, the horrible reviews it got from critics could be a large reason.

McDonald's Apologizes for Unapproved Ad That Mocks Mental Illness PSAs

Last month, Ford made headlines for an allegedly unapproved ad featuring Silvio Berlusconi with a trunk full of gagged, hog tied, and crying women. The ad, found as a poster on the Boston metro, parodied mental health and depression PSAs: "You're not alone. Million of people love the Big Mac," the ad reads, next to the photo of a crying woman and an 800-number that connects to McDonald's corporate office. The McDonald's advertisement in question is part of a larger, unapproved, campaign that pokes fun at stereotypical subway ads. The personal injuries lawyer ad promises to "get you the sausage you deserve." The continuing education spoof reads, "It's never too late for an Angus Bacon Cheese."
Oh, McDonalds.

School shootings

Whenever you hear about school shootings you automatically think it's tragic. Apparently someone brought a rifle to a college nearby to the school in which I attend. I'm pretty sure there could very well be more to the story than I know. Anyways, school safety is always important. Believe it or not one time in elementary school I had a water gun which I was going to bring for recess and nearly got tackled completely on the ground by a teacher. Talk about the embarrassment she and I both had when it was revealed that it was a plastic water gun. Either way guns in school is horrible and has costed the lives of many innocent people. I can only hope these school shootings can only stop from now.
If you have ever known someone or been in a similar situation, sound off in the comments.

Shocking Reality TV Statistics

When you think of Reality TV, you think of the television genre that many people are guilty of watching at times. But, you would be a little surprised as to how much of an impact reality TV has on the state of California.

·         The number of shooting days for reality TV in Los Angeles rose 53% last year, making up about 40% of all on-location production.

·         Of the 240,000 entertainment jobs in Los Angeles, 30,000 are tied to Reality television.

·         Reality television episodes have increased to 57% of all television shows that can be found on your TV screens.

·         In 2000 there was nearly 4 reality television shows, by 2010 there were more than 320 reality shows.

To say that Reality television has taken over more than we could imagine would be an understatement. It seems as if it is the top form of getting entertained by television these days.

10 Year Plan

In the next ten years there is a lot that I would like to accomplish. Of course going to college and getting a great job is at the top of the list. My plan is to go to school and help develop my writing skills to showcase. Something that would interest me is something that I have been doing on and off through high school, acting. It really is something that has been a fun experience for me and something I would love to do more of in the next ten years. Getting and education and continuing to do things I love is pretty much my ten year plan and something that will keep me steady.

Angelina Jolie

Angelina Jolie Voight was born on June 4, 1975. Jolie was born and raised in Los Angeles, California as the daughter of actors Jon Voight and Maximilian Schell. Angelina enrolled in Lee Strasberg Theatre Institute after her family moved to New York when she was just six years old. She attended Beverly Hills High School. While she was in her teen years Angelina suffered depression due to feeling isolated from some of her peers at school. She has one brother an actor named James Haven; she is the niece of singer Chip Taylor and goddaughter of actors Jacqueline Bisset and Maximilian Schell. On her father's side, Jolie is of German and Slovak descent, on her mother's side, she is of primarily French Canadian, Dutch, and German ancestry.
Jolie's first movie role was when she was just seven years old in a movie called Lookin’ to Get Out in 1982. In 1999 Jolie starred in her first breakout feature film, ''Girl, Interrupted''. The film garnered universal acclaim from critics and movie fans. Angelina is best known for being one of the highest paid and best female actresses in the acting business today. But, Jolie is also best known for her widely announced relationship with actor Brad Pitt. One of the main reasons why the pair's relationship has been so publicly known is because when the two met on the set of their movie ''Mr. & Ms. Smith'' Brad was married to another actress Jennifer Aniston. Brad and Jennifer divorced not long after making the public question whether Brad and Angelina were having an affair on the set of their movie. Angelina and Brad have been together since and have six children three of which were adopted and three who were their biological children.

Angelina Jolie won her first and only Academy Award in 2000 for ''Girl, Interrupted''. Angelina has received three Golden Globe awards out of seven nominations. Jolie has won two Screen Actors Guild Awards out of four nominations. Amongst these awards she has also ranked at the top of several year end magazine awards including People, Time, Maxim, and Forbes. She has also been rewarded from numerous organizations due to her humanitarian work.
Jolie has several projects lined up for the future including starring as Maleficent from the ''Sleeping Beauty'' series in a live action version of the film. She is also currently directing a film on War World II with film makers The Coen Brothers named ''Unbroken''.Jolie has also been named the Ambassador of Unicef's organization.

My opinion on Angelina Jolie's career is that she is a highly accomplished actress who's had many blockbuster starring films. Better than all of that she has done tons of humanitarian work showing what type of person she is personally. Of course the fact that she is a mother of six, which shows how much she loves being a mother. Angelina has been in the news and media for various reasons some good and some bad, but my presumption of her is that she is a hard working woman who shows much perseverance.
