Amanda Bynes Calls Out Model

The actress, who has called out a number of celebs on the social media site recently, slammed model Chrissy Teigen after she wrote, "The fact that Amanda Bynes has any 'support' to retweet is really unsettling...Support people with mental illness, yes. But don't condone/enable scary and poor behavior."
Bynes tweeted, "Ur not a pretty model compared to me. I signed to Ford models @ age 13. I don't look up to u beauty wise. I'm far prettier than u! I'm offended that you're saying I have a mental illness when I show no sign of it, but thankfully not one man that wants me wants you and you are an old ugly model compared to me!"

It sadly looks like Amanda's downward spiral is getting lower everyday.

Mothers Day Shooting

Recently there was a Mothers Day shooting in New Orleans. The shooting injured about 19 and traumatized many others I'm sure. It's pretty sad someone would want to turn a day that is supposed to be filled with joy and happiness and make it into a nightmare. I can only hope they catch whoever did this so justice can be served.

Rock Climbers Caught in Volcanic Eruption

In the Philippines five mountain climbers were killed and eight were injured when a sudden volcanic eruption sent down rocks that were described as ''big as cars''.
“I heard a sound similar to a sudden drop of coconuts. Then I heard noise of cascading rocks. But the thick fog clouding us that time blinded us from seeing the falling debris,” 21-year-old tour guide and mountaineer Kenneth Jesalva told the Philippine Star in a hospital bed interview.
Nearly 30 climbers were taking part in a trek to the basin of the Mayon volcano, which lies on the Philippine island of Luzon. Despite its tragic outcome, Tuesday’s eruption was not considered out of the ordinary, having erupted an estimated 48 times over the past 400 years, according to Renato Solidum, head of the Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology.
Several climbers who were not injured in the blast remained stranded atop the 8,070 foot tall mountain and were awaiting rescue by helicopter and rope.
"The injured are all foreigners ... they cannot walk,” Albay provincial Gov. Joey Salceda said. “If you can imagine, the boulders there are as big as cars. Some of them slid and rolled down. We will rappel the rescue team, and we will rappel them up again."

The UN’s Deadliest Month since 2008

The United Nations mission to Iraq says more people were killed in violent attacks across the country in April than in any other month since June 2008.The U.N. figures released on Thursday underscore concerns that security is quickly decreasing in Iraq, where violence spiked in the last part of April. The UN says it noted 712 people killed last month, which included 117 members of the Iraqi security forces. The capital district of Baghdad was affected the worst. Casualty tolls in Iraq can vary, with official reports at times differing from accounts from local police and hospital officials. Newspapers that I have seen online have all recorded more than 400 killed last month. Iraq witnessed its deadliest bout of violence between 2006 and 2007, when the country was on the brink of civil war.
